Nikki Keene Woods is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Wichita State University. She earned a PhD in behavioral psychology and an MPH from the University of Kansas. She has an extensive history in addressing health disparities in her roles as a maternal, infant, and child health researcher and educator. In her community-based and collaborative activities, she has utilized mixed methods to answer specific community health questions.

Dr. Keene Woods is an active participant in local and state groups that aim to improve birth outcomes for infants and mothers in Kansas. She has served on the Kansas Public Health Association Board since 2012 in various leadership roles. She is continuing to share her knowledge and experiences with students through undergraduate/graduate coursework and service-learning opportunities.
