Leslie Marsh is the CEO of Critical Access Hospital in Lexington, Nebraska. The Lexington population of approximately 13,000 persons is an ethnically diverse, socioeconomically stressed, and depressed community. The majority of Lexington’s population is Latino, but its enclave of Somali refugees continues to grow. The beef packing plant in the community has created unique challenges along with opportunities.

Ms. Marsh’s service to the Lexington community has increased her interest in public and minority health. She began her career as a staff nurse in 1986. At Lexington Regional Health Center, she was appointed as the Chief Nursing Officer in 1998 and the CEO in 2010. Her degrees include an RN, MBA, and MSN.
