Amber Hansen

Amber Hansen is a native of Norfolk, Nebraska and graduated with honors from Wayne State College with a degree in political science. She began her career with Community Action of Nebraska in 2010 as a management information specialist and was promoted to Executive Director in 2014. Her previous positions included working for nearly seven years at a market research firm and serving in various capacities on multiple political campaigns.

Ms. Hansen serves on the Volunteer Partners Board of Directors, the Nebraska Financial Education Coalition, the Region VII Association of Community Action Agencies, the Nebraska Management Information System, and the Heartland Regional Health Equity Council. She also serves on the Nebraska State Energy Office Weatherization Policy Advisory Council, Statewide Food Policy Council, Nebraska Department of Roads Mobility Management Project Statewide Coordinating Committee, and Nebraska Prevention Planning Committee. She previously served as an advisory member on the legislatively created Intergenerational Poverty Task Force from 2015-2016.
